This is very easy to lose. The bottom of the mechanisms have a spring that, when out of the enclosure, will pull the top half of the mechanism apart. Re: G29 gear shift. I use the G29 with pedals and H-shifter. If you are using real automatic, the truck should shift on its own. If want to manually shift then you need to switch to Sequential AND set the paddles to be Shift UP and Shift Down (or use the H-Shifter).
